HHC's Fall 2017 Medical/Dental Trek in Nepal

HHC's Fall 2017 Medical/Dental Trek in Nepal
Join us in Nepal from October 24 to November 8 for our Fall 2017 25th Anniversary trek.
Trek through Nepal's Ganesh Himal mountain range with Himalayan HealthCare

Physicians, dentists, nurses, physician assisstants and mental health workers, as well as teachers, veterinarians, agricultural technicians and other volunteers--including family members--are invited to join this two-week trek in a remote region of the Himalayas to support and train local health providers to help them treat hundreds of villagers who have little to no access to regular health care.

Trek dates are October 26 to November 6, 2017. Participants will be asked to arrive in Kathmandu no later than October 24 and depart no sooner than November 8, allowing ample time to adjust to the altitude and any potential changes to the trek itinerary.

Trekkers will be supported by a team of medical and trek staff, including porters. Medical work will be empirical at best with little diagnostic support.

The highest point on the trek will be approximately 13,000 feet, and trekkers will see some of the beautiful peaks of Nepal's Ganesh Himal mountain range. As tents, luggage and other materials will be portered in, all you will need to carry with you is a day pack.

The trek fee is $3,100 and does not include airfare to and from Nepal or hotel stay in Kathmandu.
